Do the campers choose workshops this year (as they have done in the past)?
The Camp Colony Creek workshop selection process is back again for 2024! Campers may prioritize the workshops in which they hope to participate. Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes each have 8 workshops from which to choose. #1 should be the camper's first choice, #2 would be their second choice -- and on through the list.
Camper registrations are accepted in order of the following priority:
- Girl Scouts accompanied by an adult volunteering all 3 days—Please volunteer!
- All remaining Girl Scouts with accurate and complete camper registrations.
How can I pay for my campers?
Payment for Camp Colony Creek 2024 Campers, Program Aides/OWLs, ‘TAGs’ and Adults can be completed in three ways:
- Pay online via Cheddar Up -- our third party, secure payment portal:
http://my.cheddarup.com/c/camp-colony-creek-2024-registration-feesNotes: There are fees associated with the use of this payment method. Be sure to complete all payments in one transaction to avoid additional fees. Payment must be received by the camp registration deadline. - Pay by check, made out to 'Camp Colony Creek 2024,' and deliver the check with your required forms/paperwork before Tuesday, April 30th.
- Pay with exact cash delivered with your required forms/paperwork before Tuesday, April 30th.
What if I need to cancel my registration? Do I get a refund?
All camper fees except $20.00 are refunded after camp ends provided the Camp Director receives written notice of cancellation prior to Saturday, June 1, 2024. Emails should be sent to the Camp Director: gscampcolonycreek@gmail.com.
Can my camper be in the same group as her friends?
Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies may choose ONE friend to be their "camp buddy". This option is found in the Camper Registration section. Camp Buddies should discuss their workshop choices - they must be the same on the registration form! Both sets of registration forms must submitted together or the pairing may not occur. If mailing the registration forms, the 2 packets of forms must be mailed in the same envelope, so they will be received at the same time (check the need for additional postage please!).
Please note: No troops are guaranteed to be placed together as this is an independence-building event.
How is Camp Colony Creek 2024 different from the last camp (2023)?
- Registration is open for six weeks this year. This helps parents/guardians make their decision and not delay in completing the registration process! Registration opens Tuesday, 3/12/24 and ends Tuesday, 4/30/24. This will give the volunteer camp staff more time to plan and obtain the supplies we need for camp.
- Our camper, PA/OWL and TAG fees for 2024 has gone up slightly. In addition, a new Adult Volunteer fee has been added to help with the cost of the volunteer's camp t-shirt.
- Please watch for camp news regarding dinner meal options. TBA.
Maximum registration of 250 Campers and Program Aides.
